The Tema Industrial Lions Club, has held a special orientation session for its prospective Lions, aimed at familiarising new members with the needed information about the club.

The event led by Mr. Foster Asempa, a fellow of the Melvin Jones Fellowship Programme (MJF) and a seasoned Lion, provided prospective lions valuable insights and guidance on how to make the most of their membership.

The orientation session, also provided the members with the history, values, and activities of the Tema Industrial Lions Club, as well as allowed them to connect with fellow Lions, learn about planned service activities, and initiatives undertaken by the club, and understand the role they could play in making an overall positive impact in the community.

Mr. Asempa, in an engaging and interactive session, guided the new members through the intricacies of being a Lion, and encouraged them to be active members, while fostering a sense of camaraderie among the participants of the event.

He emphasised the importance of servi
ce, leadership, and fellowship within the Lions Club, and shared inspiring stories of past activities, travels, and engagements that had made a significant difference in the lives of those in need, underscoring the club’s commitment to making a positive impact in the community.

He also encouraged the new members to participate fully in club activities, explore areas where they could contribute their skills and expertise, prepare to take on leadership roles and collaborate with fellow Lions to create meaningful change in the community.

Mr. Edwin Azu, the Tema Industrial Lions Club Secretary, noted that the session instilled in the new members a sense of purpose, belonging, and enthusiasm to actively participate in the club’s activities and uphold its core values of service, integrity, and fellowship.

He added that as the club continued its mission of serving the community and making a difference in the lives of others, the guidance and mentorship received during the orientation session would undoubtedly ins
pire new members to become dedicated and passionate advocates for positive change.
