About 69 percent of the travelers were Burundian nationals, while 27 percent were of Tanzanian nationality and 4 percent were citizens of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The majority of respondents were men (61%) with about 44 percent who were between 18 and 40 years old. Most of the individuals surveyed were married (67%) while the rest were single (28%), widowed (3%), separated or divorced (2%). The majority of travelers (47%) had no level of education.
