Tenkodogo: The army’s mobile field hospital has been deployed since September 30, 2025, for a real-life test at the Tenkodogo Regional Hospital Center (CHR). On this occasion, many patients awaiting surgery were treated by military doctors.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the army’s mobile field hospital was acquired through the efforts of President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, who aimed to ensure the proper care of those wounded in the fight against terrorism. The deployment at Tenkodogo CHR sought to evaluate the system’s effectiveness in remote areas and provide much-needed surgical support to the local population.
“We chose this place to be able to support the operational units in the area, test the equipment to see if there are any shortcomings that need to be corrected and finally provide assistance to the population at the same time,” explained Colonel Romaric TOE, Director General of the Army Health Services.
Ounanlini THIOMBIANO, Director General of the Tenkodogo CHR, expressed his appreciation for the support provided by the field hospital deployment, noting its positive impact on improving patient care.
Patients conveyed their gratitude to the Head of State and the government, acknowledging the initiative’s benefits. This test of the mobile field hospital highlighted the system’s utility and followed an initial three-week assistance period at the military hospital at Camp Sangoule-LAMIZANA in Ouagadougou, which yielded favorable results for both practitioners and patients.
