Karim Traore Takes Charge as Provincial Director of Agriculture in Leraba


Leraba: Karim Traore takes the reins of the provincial directorate in charge of Agriculture The High Commissioner of the province of Leraba, Yacouba Sawadogo, installed, on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 in Sindou, the agricultural engineer, Karim Traore, in his functions as provincial director of agriculture and fisheries resources of Leraba.



According to Burkina Information Agency, Karim Traore was appointed Provincial Director of Agriculture and Fisheries Resources of Leraba during the Council of Ministers meeting held on September 4, 2025. He officially took over his functions on September 17, 2025, succeeding Pambagna Koura, who served in this position for over two years.



Karim Traore expressed his gratitude to the authorities for entrusting him with this role. He committed to supporting local producers and breeders in their quest for food sovereignty in the province. Traore highlighted his strategy of collaboration, emphasizing the importance of working closely with stakeholders and encouraging the commitment of producers to meet the objectives set out for his department.



The outgoing director, Pambagna Koura, reflected on his tenure, noting that the two agricultural campaigns under his leadership yielded results that improved the food and nutritional situation in the province. Koura remarked on the significance of periods of silence, implying a reflective transition period as he concluded his term.
