Kourittenga: The Association Solidarity, Community Awakening (ASECO) this Saturday handed over school kits to 200 internally displaced and vulnerable students in the province of Kourittenga, worth more than 700,000 FCFA, in the presence of the representative of the provincial director of Humanitarian Action, Richard Thiombiano.
According to Burkina Information Agency, ASECO has collected a total of 400 school kits, with 200 kits distributed to vulnerable students in Kourittenga and another 100 kits allocated for students in Tenkodogo and Ouargaye. ASECO’s president, Lamoussa Robgo, emphasized that this effort is in line with the association’s mission to demonstrate solidarity with vulnerable individuals.
“This is our contribution to supporting students and their parents, and also to the State, which continues to take action so that our children can study in very good conditions,” Robgo stated. He further expressed ASECO’s commitment to collaborating with partners to sustain and expand such initiatives for the benefit of Burkinabe education.
Mathieu Kafando, representing the parents of the students who received the kits, expressed satisfaction and gratitude towards ASECO. He mentioned that the donation would alleviate some of the challenges faced by parents.
Richard Thiombiano, representing the provincial director of Humanitarian Action in Kourittenga, conveyed appreciation on behalf of his superiors, acknowledging ASECO’s contribution as a morale booster for students and a relief for parents.
