Mouhoun Teachers Contribute to Faso Mebo Initiative with 146,000 CFA Francs

Mouhoun: Primary school teachers in Ouarkoye have demonstrated their commitment to national solidarity by contributing 146,000 CFA francs to the Faso Mebo initiative.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this gesture followed the annual educational conference held by the Basic Education District (CEB) of Ouarkoye from October 15 to 18, 2025. The conference focused on the implementation of educational reforms.

The meeting was chaired by Idrissa Ganame, President of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune, who praised the teachers’ efforts in promoting quality education. He emphasized the importance of making schools instruments for endogenous development, aligning with the vision of the Head of State through the Presidential Initiative for Quality Education for All (IPEQ).

Participants engaged in discussions over four days, covering topics such as the execution of educational reforms, mastery of integration situations, the introduction of spoken English from CE1, and the presentation of the Orientation Framework for Continuing Education and Pedagogical Supervision (COFCEP).

Local authorities hailed the teachers’ financial contribution as a demonstration of patriotism and civic responsibility. Olivier Tamini, Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB), recognized the achievement by presenting Vo Alphonse Lougue, one of the CEB supervisors, with the rank of Knight of the Order of Academic Palms.

Idrissa Ganame congratulated the teachers on their professional commitment and national duty, which he believes will enhance educational performance in the locality and aid in the training of future nation-builders.
