Noumbiel Reforestation Effort Sees Over 100 Plants Planted in Batie

Noumbiel: More than 100 plants were planted on Saturday as part of the second phase of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC) at the public primary school of Olfacoula in sector 1 of Batie. The reforestation activities were spearheaded by the constituted bodies of the province of Noumbiel.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative saw the participation of the provincial High Commissioner, Drissa Hema, who urged for a general mobilization to ensure the success of the event. A diverse group, comprising administrative authorities, principals, department heads, students, teachers, and local residents, gathered in large numbers to contribute to the planting efforts.

The array of plants included mango trees, palm trees, moringa, baobabs, cailcedrats, and guava trees. This variety aims to enrich the local environment and provide long-term benefits to the community.

Drissa Hema also encouraged parents and local residents to take responsibility for the maintenance and care of the newly planted trees. In support of this, the provincial director in charge of the environment, Athanase Didier Bamouni, assured that his technical team will remain available to assist with plant maintenance services as required.
