?His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam will lea e for Jakarta, the Republic of Indonesia to attend the Inauguration Ceremony of the 8th President of the Republic of Indonesia, His Excellency Prabowo Subianto; and His Excellency Gibran Rakabuming Raka as ice President, which will be held on 20th October 2024. His Majesty last met with His Excellency Prabowo Subianto during His Excellency’s isit to Brunei Darussalam on 5th September 2024 as Minister of Defence and President-Elect of the Republic of Indonesia.
The Inauguration will mark the start of the fi e-year term of His Excellency Prabowo Subianto as President of the Republic of Indonesia and His Excellency Gibran Rakabuming Raka as ice President. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in January 1984, Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Indonesia ha e enjoyed close and friendly relations as well as b
ilateral cooperation in the fields of trade and in estment, defence, education, health, labour and people-to-people exchanges. The two countries also work closely through regional and international cooperation including ASEAN, APEC, OIC and BIMP-EAGA.
