The National Wood Products Expo of Brunei Darussalam raises public awareness about high-quality local wood products. The launching of the expo in conjunction with the International Day of Forests took place on 17th October afternoon, at a shopping Centre in Kampung Sungai Hanching.
Officiating the expo was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doktor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism. Also held was the launching of the Brunei Wood Product logo, which is part of the initiati e of the Forestry Department to better identify locally produced wood products. 21 companies are participating in the 4-day expo. A local wooden furniture products competition was also held. The expo is open to the public until 20th October.
