?The collection period for the Humanitarian Fund for Palestinians in Gaza 2023 has been extended for another 6 months from 19th October 2024 to 18th April 2025 for the public to continue to donate in order to alle iate the suffering and burden of the Palestinian people in Gaza. The extension period is with the consent of His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
The extension includes the collection platforms a ailable under the fund, namely SMS Brunei Prihatin, which is handled by Datastream Digital Sdn Bhd (DST Sdn Bhd); Progresif Sdn Bhd and Imagine Sdn Bhd. Donation boxes pro ided in mosques, suraus and religious halls throughout the country, public as well as commercial buildings and banks in cooperation with the Association of Banks AND organising charity acti ities for the purpose of collecting donations. The total collection of this fund as of recently, is more than four million se en hundred dollars.
An amount totalling more than one million three hundred thousand dollars has
been used for the deli ery of humanitarian aid in the form of ready-to-eat meal packets to Palestine by air-drop carried out from 13th to 15th March 2024. Therefore, the balance of the fund as of 17th October 2024 is o er three million three hundred thousand dollars.
