Yatenga: Wendlamita Private College encourages excellence in the school environment

The Wendlamita Private College encouraged the merit of about twenty students, during the 48 hours of the said establishment, which was held from March 10 to 11, 2023 in Ouahigouya.

In total, about twenty students received awards for excellence and encouragement from school officials.

Encouraging a job well done through prizes of excellence offered to the most deserving students, developing the spirit of citizenship to promote social cohesion and living together through cultural and sporting activities, these are the three main axes that marked the celebration of the establishment’s 48 hours.

According to the first officials of Wendlamita Private College, academic performance deserves to be encouraged, especially in a context of difficult security challenges affecting the education system.

For the director of the college, Agbeviade Gbehodo Koffi, it is a very satisfactory result, because the objective was to magnify excellence to encourage other students to redouble their efforts.

In addition to this, there were other socio-cultural activities that were carried out with the aim of promoting social cohesion and living together between the different communities.

It should be noted that within the framework of these 48 hours, a blood donation operation made it possible to collect more than forty bags for the benefit of the regional center of blood transfusion.

“A very salutary initiative at the moment, because the need for blood is high in our health centers and if any structure takes the idea of supporting us with voluntary donations, we must really welcome the act. We invite the other establishments in the city to follow suit, ”suggested state nurse Madi Ouédraogo.

As a reminder, the Wendlamita private college opened its doors in 1979 in Ouahigouya in the province of Yatenga. It is one of the secular private secondary schools in the province which supports the Burkinabè State in its educational policy. The institution’s motto is “Work-Discipline-Promotion”.
