Sourou: The High Commissioner of Sourou Province, Desire Badolo, urged the entire population of his territorial jurisdiction to protect public property and fight against corruption during the launch of the second phase of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC).
According to Burkina Information Agency, the second phase of the JEPPC was officially launched by High Commissioner Desire Badolo in Tougan on Thursday, October 2, 2025. The event began with the raising of the national colors at the Tougan High Commission, attended by the Defense and Security Forces and the province’s key figures.
The High Commissioner emphasized the importance of safeguarding public property and combating corruption. He stated, “For this phase of the national days of patriotic commitment and citizen participation, I urge you on two points: the protection of our public property and the fight against corruption and racketeering which are plaguing some of our administrations, businesses, and associations.”
A series of activities are planned as part of this phase, including a public conference on the popular progressive revolution, cleaning of services and schools, the launch of the presidential initiative Faso Meebo, and awareness days on fiscal civic responsibility and the highway code, particularly helmet use. There will also be a local consumption day and other related activities.
This phase continues the efforts from the first edition of the JEPPC, which was launched on March 26, 2025, under the theme: “For order and discipline: I commit myself.” It began on October 2 and will conclude on October 16, 2025, with various activities scheduled in Tougan, Sourou.
