Awareness Raising on Establishment of School Council in Kouka


Ouagadougou: The Head of the Kouka basic education district, Lale Joanny Kiogo, met with various school principals and education partners this Friday, October 3, 2025, at the Kouka “A” school to discuss the establishment of school councils.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting included the presidents of the parents’ associations (APE), mother educators (AME), school management committees, directors, and the head of the CEB. They examined the decree concerning the creation, allocation, organization, and operation of the school council. The goal was to prepare these stakeholders for the establishment of effective school council offices.



Lale Joanny Kiogo explained that the aim of the meeting was to highlight the importance of the school council, gather suggestions from participants, and offer solutions for the benefit of children and parents.
