All Africa Music Awards President and Experts Chart New Cultural Path at Morocco Forum


Rabat: All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) President, Mr. Mike Dada, joined global cultural and creative industry experts to deliberate on Africa’s cultural future at the 3rd Moroccan Forum of Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) in Rabat, Morocco.

According to African Press Organization, the forum took place from December 11 to 14, 2025, under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and was hosted by the HIBA Foundation. Cultural and creative industry stakeholders from nations such as Senegal, Tunisia, Côte d’Ivoire, Belgium, Germany, France, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burkina Faso, and Quebec gathered to explore strategies for enhancing Africa’s cultural ecosystems and the economic potential of its creative sectors.

Mr. Dada, representing AFRIMA and the African music industry, participated in a key panel discussion titled “Towards a Pan-African Federation of Cultural Operators: What lessons can be drawn from past experiences, and how can we project forward?” The session emphasized kn
owledge sharing, partnership building, and cross-border cultural exchange among African countries.

Addressing the assembly, Mr. Dada underscored AFRIMA’s collaboration with the African Union and its role in promoting African music on a global scale. He emphasized the importance of investment, training, and cooperation to advance Africa’s cultural industries and create opportunities for young creatives. He stated, “Africa’s creative industry is not just growing; it is becoming a powerful economic force. What we need now is stronger cooperation across the continent, better policies, and sustainable investment.”

Mr. Dada also engaged in discussions at a reception hosted by the French Ambassador to Morocco, Mr. Christophe Lecourtier, on December 12, fostering new partnership opportunities among cultural leaders.

AFRIMA serves as Africa’s global music awards platform, established in 2014 by the International Committee AFRIMA and the African Union to honor and promote Africa’s musical and cultural heritage world
wide. Its 9th Edition is slated for January 7-11, 2026, in Lagos, Nigeria, and will be broadcast live to over 84 countries globally.
