Gourma: The commune of Fada N'Gourma presents three trophies to the regional authorities for its performances: The president of the special delegation of the urban commune of Fada N'Gourma, Kampadilemba Jerome Idani, presented three trophies to the governor of the Goulmou region and the High Commissioner of the Gourma province. This presentation was in recognition of the combined efforts that led to these distinctions being awarded to the commune.
According to Burkina Information Agency, these trophies are the result of notable performances at the national level. The Decentralization and Citizen Participation Support Unit (CADEPAC) awarded the 3rd national prize on July 16, 2024, to the commune of Fada N'Gourma. This award was given for measuring the performance of local authorities through self-assessment for the year 2023, and it came with a financial envelope of 7,216,738 CFA francs.
Additionally, still within the framework of performances, the same structure awarded the 2nd national prize to the municipality in 2024, with an accompanying envelope of 9,800,000 CFA francs. The Citizen Information and Documentation Center (CIDOC), which promotes and facilitates citizen control of public action relating to economic, social and cultural rights, awarded the 1st national prize to the urban commune of Fada N'Gourma on August 19, 2025, for its commendable efforts.
In presenting these distinctions, Mr. Idani, together with his colleagues, expressed his gratitude to the hierarchical authorities whose guidance and advice contributed to these successes. "These trophies are the fruits of the sacrifices made by the members of the special delegation, the municipal administration, and civil society," said Mr. Idani. He emphasized that these distinctions serve as a call to intensify efforts to support populations affected by the security and humanitarian crisis.
