Ngozi: the Vice-President of the Republic participates in community work

The Vice-President of the Republic of Burundi Prosper Bazombanza participated Saturday, March 18, 2023 in community work organized in the capital of Ngozi province. The work consisted of concreting the stands of the Agasaka stadium.

In his message to the population, the Vice-President of the Republic informed coffee growers that the Government has received their grievances and is studying how to increase the price of cherry coffee.

He winked at coffee growers who sell their crop early by accepting advances (umugwazo), giving in to poverty and pressure from speculators. They are likely to suffer huge losses and regret when the revised upward price is made official, said Prosper Bazombanza.

Referring to the Agasaka stadium, work on which began ten years ago and which has not yet been completed, the Vice-President of the Republic encouraged the administration and the population to complete this work by the end of this year 2023.

The Vice-President urged the population and the administration to preserve peace and security, to work hard to have surpluses to export and to plan the activities to be carried out in accordance with the current program budget policy.
