Rumonge: the President of the Senate lends a hand to community development work

The President of the Burundian Senate Honorable Emmanuel Sinzohagera joined Saturday, June 4, 2022 with the population of the commune and province Rumonge in the concreting work of the floor of the classrooms of the Lycée communal de Mutambara in this same commune. He recalled on this occasion that community work is a good start for development and invited Burundian citizens to get down to it to honor the memory of the late President Pierre Nkurunziza, the National Guide of Patriotism who initiated them.

The community works in which the President of the Senate took part alongside the population and the administrative staff of the Rumonge commune consisted in the concreting of the floor of the classrooms of the Lycée communal de Mutambara.

In his word for the occasion, Emmanuel Sinzohagera recalled that the month of June is dedicated to the memory of the late Pierre Nkurunziza, the national guide of patriotism who initiated community development work during which many schools, health centers and administrative offices were built, thus giving a good image of the country.

The Senate Speaker took this opportunity to clarify that community work is a good start for the development of the country and invited Burundians to do more to honor the memory of the late President Pierre Nkurunziza, national guide of patriotism. He particularly called on the population of Rumonge to clear the shoreline of Lake Tanganyika, to maintain the roads and to clean the gutters.

He also asked the population of Rumonge to consolidate peace and security which are prerequisites for the socio-economic development of the country, specifying that everyone must contribute their stone to the building.

Finally, the President of the Burundian Senate urged the inhabitants of Rumonge, especially the men, to take care of their families by avoiding wasting family goods. He urged heads of households to avoid sexual vagrancy and concubinage and look after the welfare of their families.

After the community works, the President of the Senate spoke at the capital of the province of Rumonge in a meeting with the administrative officials, the heads of the various services working in this province as well as the leaders of the religious denominations. Their interview revolved around brotherhood, patriotism, education in the love of work and respect for hierarchy and leadership.
