The CVR submits its progress report to the President of the Senate

The President of the Senate Emmanuel Sinzohagera received in audience Wednesday, December 15, 2021, a delegation from the Truth Reconciliation Commission (CVR). On the sidelines of this hearing, the vice-president of the CVR submitted to the President of the Senate in the presence of his two vice-presidents, a progress report on the achievements of this commission, fiscal year 2021.

The President of the Senate Emmanuel Sinzohagera welcomed the work done this year by the CVR, a work which, according to him, will allow reconciliation and mutual forgiveness between the Burundians to build a country without conflicts, indicated at the exit of the audience his spokesperson, Gabby Bugaga.

The spokesperson for the President of the Senate also indicated that the law requires the leaders of the CVR to present the report of the achievements to institutions such as the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, the Vice-President of the Republic, the President of the National Assembly and the Senate.

He indicated that this commission will publicly present the progress report of its 2021 achievements before Parliament in congress on Monday, December 20, 2021.
