Ouahigouya: The President of the Yaadga Regional Special Delegation, Thomas Yampa, led the institution's 3rd ordinary session in Ouahigouya. During the session, members and administrative staff paid tribute to Brehima Savadogo, the retiring Secretary General of the Regional Council.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the session addressed multiple agenda items, including adopting the minutes of the last session, withdrawing from the International Association of Francophone Regions (AIRF), and authorizing agreements with the Fund for Literacy and Non-Formal Education. It also provided a platform for recognizing Savadogo's contributions over his nine-year tenure.
Thomas Yampa commended Savadogo's dedication and achievements, acknowledging his role in regional development. The council members, staff, and partners expressed gratitude for Savadogo's service and collaborative spirit, emphasizing his commitment to decentralization and local advancement.
Savadogo expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve and conveyed his readiness to continue supporting regional development. He encouraged support for his successor, Ms. Zoundi Landrine, to tackle future challenges. In recognition of his service, Savadogo received a certificate and gifts as tokens of appreciation.
