The Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly has renovated several toilet facilities and built new ones to improve the environmental health of the people.

These include 10-seater WCs at Akuse Zongo, Okwenya, Atua, and Adjikpo Yokunya, as well as 16-seater and 22-seater facilities.

Mr. Tetteh emphasized the importance of regular maintenance to ensure the facilities’ longevity and efficie

He noted that the previous condition of the toilet facilities had a significant impact on public health, with diseases spreading among residents.

‘I’m thrilled that this issue has been resolved, as previously, the terrible smell from the toilet facilities made life uncomfortable for nearby residents. Now, they won’t have to deal with that anymore,’ Mr. Kofi Numo Isaac Tetteh, Assemblyman for Nuaso Old Town said.

Asafoatse Ahuma BB II, Chief of Nuaso-Larteh, commended the municipal assembly for addressing their concerns about sanitation, saying, ‘We are pleased because the residents will no longer indulge in open defecation, ‘ he said.

He urged residents to keep the facility in good condition so that it could last longer.
